In the human world, Mae Claire is an actor who deals with the daily grind of auditioning and working different side jobs to keep her dream afloat.While taking a vacation in the Philippines, she takes a long hike on Mount Apo to clear her mind. She discovers a grotto and falls into a lake where she is transported into a magical world between the human and spirit realm.

After waking up and looking back at her reflection in the water, she realizes she has turned into the flower diwata, MaeFae.Born from the feelings of people who struggle to understand themselves, MaeFae has the power of voice and ability to harness human emotions.In the magical realm, she was given the task to prevent humans from destroying the flowers.Because she only comes out at night, she is often mistaken as the rumored witch that inhabits the mountain. So she continues to play as a witch to mess with those unlucky enough to witness her.Humans can tell she's close when they begin smelling the sweet fragrance of night blooming jasmine...
